Band and P.A.W.S meeting notes!

Hello All,

Our band and P.A.W.S. meetings had a great turnout! I do apologize that Archbishop Woods back to school night prohibited some of you from attending however I have had some great questions coming in to my email dmyers@noolp.org and keep them coming! Here are some meeting notes about both meetings as well as a few links to information that has already been sent home.

P.A.W.S

-This years show has been purchased from M.T.I which limits our flexibility in many regards to the show, however it will also help us turn out a Broadway caliber show!

-Students line counts are limited however they will be acting on stage for the whole show!

-There are 12 songs that ALL students will be participating in.

-Please send in the attached student commitment form to Mr. Myers with your participation fee by tuesday October 2nd. 



BAND

-Students playing Guitar, Bass, or drumSET will need to purchase instruments since they are not rented by local stores due to their reasonable prices.

-Please be careful of deals that are "to good to be true" chances are they probably are!

-Mr. Dair recommends Fender Strat Packs for beginning guitar players. They are well made and will hold up better than some lesser known brands.

-Instrument rental information is available outside of my room on a music stand for all
Violin, Viola, Cello, Flute, Clarinet, Saxophone, Trumpet, Trombone, or Bell players

-Please have all band registration information and tuition payments turned in by Monday October 1st. We are hoping to begin lessons starting on Tuesday October 2nd.

I will be back in school tomorrow with hardcopies of all this paper work, as well as handing out rental information. Please let me know if you need any more information for this years 2012-2013 band or P.A.W.S. program.
